i need to change the icon maybe the bitmaps inside exe without using third party apps. like a .bat or a tut to do it with vb.net

Hi, As far as I know, there is no Microsoft supported way of changing the icon associated with an exe file because the icon is embedded into the executable file. There is no way that I know of by using a bat file. However if you are looking to create a program that is able to do this, then look into this page of "Adding, Deleting, and Replacing Resources" http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms648004(VS.85).aspx it is not too difficult, once you have read the relevant documentation.
