Cant see network over WiFi, Can see network over Cat5
I have 3 computers on my home network: XP Pro, Win 7 Pro, Vista Home Premium When the XP machine is connected (wired) to the router, all three can ping each other fine. When I use wireless on the XP machine, the "7" machine and the XP machine can no longer ping each other. The Vista machine can ping the XP machine, and the XP machine can ping the Vista machine. I have disabled firewall on all 3 machines. Can someone please help? I've been looking at this for hours, and am at a complete loss. The wireless router is using WPA-PSK, encryption method AES. Let me know if you need any other information. Thanks.

Quick update. I have found a posts talking about disabling IPv6. I tried this (on the 7 machine only, on the XP machine only, then on both at the same time, rebooting BOTH machiens between each switch) (p.i.t.a.). This did not help. I also removed the 7 machine from the "home group". I have confirmed that both are in the same workgroup "WORKGROUP" (case matches as well, in case that matters). Any ideas on this? Thanks.

Another update - I tried setting the Win7 machine to a "Work" network instead of "Home" network. Reboots all around, and..... Same error. :-(

Your router should have a firewall enabled. How does it work if you disable it?Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
