Cant get Vista to see Xbox 360
Hi there I've been trawling the forums all day to get my problem fixed to no avail,so i must now post!! :) Basically my xbox was connected to my Vista home premium x64 sp2 via Windows Media Center and TVersity I've been streaming Vob files perfectly through TVersity until today when it wouldn't connect. It would still connect through WMC but it won't connect or recognise my PC through Windows media connect. I've looked in my events log on my PC and i've got this error Log Name: System Source: ZuneNetworkSvc Date: 09/01/2010 19:18:11 Event ID: 14346 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: gazkilla-PC Description: A new media server was not initialized because RegisterRunningDevice() encountered error '0x80070005'. Restart your computer, then restart the ZuneNetworkSvc service. Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="ZuneNetworkSvc" /> <EventID Qualifiers="49165">14346</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2010-01-09T19:18:11.000Z" /> <EventRecordID>278304</EventRecordID> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer>gazkilla-PC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>0x80070005</Data> </EventData> </Event> I also get the same error above with WMPNetwork.svc.services Also i seem to have alot of these errors as well Log Name: System Source: Service Control Manager Date: 09/01/2010 11:09:43 Event ID: 7001 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: gazkilla-PC Description: The UPnP Device Host service depends on the SSDP Discovery service which failed to start because of the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. I'm starting to think a Vista format or a Windows 7 upgrade :( Any ideas? Cheers Gary
