Cant activate windows 8.1

Hello experts?

I have a problem please help me. I had fresh install on my boss desktop PC few months ago and activate windows succesfully. Then few days later his computer hardware is corrupted and i replace new computer with old hard disk. Then everything working. Few days later old computer repaired. I had replace old hard disk to old computer. Now activation error cant activate. Activation error code is 0x80072F8F.

Time and date working correctly. This key is my company MAK key. Working on other computers.

I think this method should be worked, try to stop Software Protection service, rename the old, start Software Protection service and re-activate

1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
4) Type:
net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
8) Type: net start sppsvc
9) Type: slui.exe
10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically (in your case register using MAK)

Hi machado,

Yes, the hardware change will cause activation failure especially hard disk(almost 100%)

Please follow the britishdhezs suggestion check if it works.

If the issue persists, kindly follow the instructions as mentioned in the article try do activation by phone or contact your local Volume Licensing support.
