Hi, According to your description, you may use manage-bcd -status to check the status of encrypted volume. Then try to use -off option to decrypt the volume. Also, please do not stop the Bitlocker process in the future. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. To unlock the drive from command line, do this: open elevated command prompt. Run manage-bde command >manage-bde -unlock D: -rp xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx where D is the drive letter of the external drive and xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx is the 48 digit recovery password. If this works, then first turn off encryption on your disk first. >manage-bde -off d: where d is the drive letter. If this does not work, then you will have to use repair-bde to extract the data from the disk to a portable disk. Repair-bde is located at c:\windows\system32 folder Open elevated command prompt and run this command.>repair-bde f: g: -rp xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxx -f -lf c:\log.txt where g is the portable disk whereyou want the data and F drive should at least equal to G drive. Where xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx is the 48 digit recovery password. -lf will generate a log file and point to a certain location, here I have pointed to c drive. After repair-bde is completed, run chkdsk /r on G drive, then try to access your data. Hi, I would like to advise that The Repair-bde command-line tool cannot repair a drive that failed during the encryption or decryption process. If the status of this drive is locked, I suggest you to contact the Data Recovery Company for assistance. In addition, you may refer to the similar thread below. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/da-DK/w7itprohardware/thread/7b6e072f-b8d3-4341-affc-783fb919c1e6Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
