Cant Access Shared folder from windows 7

We have small setup. Four windows 7 PC and one laptop with windows 8.1.

All windows 7 PC can access each-other shared folder. But windows 8.1 cant able to access any windows 7 shared folder.We give static IP address of each computer. Every windows 7 computer can ping windows 8.1 laptop but laptop cant ping to windows 7 PC. All firewall setting are off but we still cant access any windows 7 PC.

Help me...

Make sure Client for Microsoft Networks and File and Print Sharing is enabled on Windows 8 NIC .

Is that required home group from sharing. because we can access other windows 7 machine share folder without any home group creation. Only problem is that Windows 8.1 laptop cant ping or see any windows 7 computers shared folder.


Another one question. Why windows 8.1 PC cant ping the windows 7 PC.

Hello Rahul Kutal,

Do you have these computers connect to the same router and be in the same subnet?

The Windows 7 can normally ping the Windows 8.1, but the Windows 8.1 cant ping the Windows 7?

Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Run the command ipconfig /all and share us the result.
2. Use the network monitor to capture the data, upload and share it with us for analyzation.
