Canon MP620 printer with Windows 7
I have my Canon printer connected via ethernet to my router. My Windows XP machine quite happly connects to it as a network printer. My Windows 7 64bit machine will not connect despite having followed the wizard through and so called fixit options. It will
connect to the printer via usb.
I have tried downloading Canon network printer drivers but they won't install and come up withe message that they must be installed as administrator, dsepite the fact that I am a member of the administrator group

Hi,
Thanks for the post!
After you download the drivers, you can right-click the file choose Properties – Compatibility Tab – check the box “Run this program as an administrator”,
then install it again.
If this doesn’t work, I recommend you take the ownership of this driver. Follow these steps:
Right-click the file, click
Properties, and then click the Security tab.
Click
Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.
Click
Edit, and then do one of the following:
To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click
Other users and groups and, in Enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click
OK.
To change the owner to a user or group that is listed, in the
Change owner to box, click the new owner.
(Optional) To change the owner of all subcontainers and objects within the tree, select the
Replace owner on subcontainers and objects check box.
Now install this driver to check if it works.
Regards,
Miya
