Cannot use my Canon S750 pritner on Windows XP over a network from Windows 7
I have a canon S750 printer on my old computer running Windows XP. I have a new laptop running Windows 7 connected via a home network. When I try to install the networked printer on the laptop, it says no driver found; the file ".INF" is needed, specifically "Printer driver INF for Canon S750". I previously moved the printer over to the laptop, and installed it there, where it worked, so a driver must be installed on the laptop, as well as on the XP machine of course. So presumably Windows 7 on the laptop is looking for the driver under a different name and/or in a different place from where it is currently installed. Windows 7 does ask where the driver is, but I have no idea where printer drivers are installed or what they are called.

YOU must install the driver or point it to the driver, unless windows update finds the driver.browse to the XP machine print share, highlite the printer, right click on it and click connect.give a few mins to do it's thing if asked point to the driver files
