Hey guys, So I currently have Windows 7 and my other computer just got Windows 7 too. I tried to set up a network on one computer and it gave me a generic password. I then went to the other computer and entered the generic password and it connected me over the network. However, I am not able to transfer files from one computer to another. Every time i try to transfer a file, it says that I do not have permission to do so and it asks me to either "Try Again" or "Skip". I can transfer it to a public folder but I cannot transfer it to the other computer's desktop or inside any folders for that matter. Any idea to how I can solve this? Thanks!

Hi, This issue can occur by incorrect permission or network settings. I suggest you temporarily turn off firewall on each Windows 7 machine and transfer the files again. If the issue persists, please modify relevant settings on each Windows 7 machine. a. Click Start and open Control Panel. b. Open "Network and Sharing Center" and click "Advanced sharing settings". c. Expand the current network profile (such as "Home or Work"), and then select the following options: "Turn on Network Discovery", "Turn on file and printer sharing", "Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders", "Turn off password protected sharing" Then, please access the shared folder and try to transfer files. Hi, Currentnly I am using Windows 7 in my computer and now I am facing probetm to transfer flie to another folder, even I cannot able to transfer or drag the files to the desktop. How can solve the probolem? Do you have any solution? Thanks.
