Cannot share folders between Windows 7 RC and Windows Vista
I can't seem to share folders between windows 7 and Vista. I never had this problem sharing folders between windows xp and windows vista. Both PCs can detect the folders on the respective computers but can't get permission to view each other's files. I have managed to share a printer and the share media without any problems. I have switsched off password sharing, so it shouldn't need a password and set the workgroup name to MSHOME for both computers. On Advanced Sharing I have set up full permissions for the Everyone user. It only recognizes its own location, however, not the location of the other computer. I'm not sure what else to do. any tips would be appreciated.

Since you have disabled Password Protected sharing, the computer will access the other with Guest account. In Windows Vista and Windows 7 RC, Everyone user group does not include Guest. Please also give Guest account full control permission for the shared folder. Then please let us know the result. Another solution is that you create same account\password on two computers and enable Password Protected Sharing.Arthur Xie - MSFT
