Cannot see other computers on Home Workgroup with Work Laptop that is registered to a different Domain
I have a work laptop running Windows 7 32-bit enterprise that is under the work domain. When I bring it home and try to browse my home workgorup, it does not see any of the computers on the workgroup and even worse, it does not see the wireless printer either. All other computers can see everything and they are all VISTA machines. I can even browse to my work laptop from the other home workgroup computers and connect fine, but obviously not the other way. I have disabled Norton, which has no firewall and it does not make a difference. I have also disabled the windows firewall to no avail either. I am connected to my home network with a Home/Private Network profile in Windows 7. How can I get my Windows 7 machine to see the rest of the computers on the home workgroup, including my wireless printer?

Hi, Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot the issue. 1. When connecting to Home Network, please change the network profile from Domain to Home or Work. 2. Configure the connection to obtain an IP address automatically. 3. Restart the computer to Safe Mode with Networking to check the result. 4. Temporarily disable the network adapter and enable the network adapter on the machine. Then, please write down the computer name for Windows Vista. Click Start button in Windows 7 and type \\Vista computer name, and then press enter. Can you access the Windows Vista computer now? Thanks, Novak
