Cannot see fileserver!
I have a windows 7 Pro server, and win7 home premium computer. Home premium computer cannot access the fileserver unless ADMIN user logs in first on Home premium computer. If other user "Wendy" (Administrator) logs in first, browse network does not show the fileserver. Why do I need to login in first under user "Admin" before I can access my fileserver. I have an "Admin" account on both computers. File and printer sharing is turned on and "need password to access other computer on the network is turned "OFF".

Hi, Reagrding the issue, I want to know whether the account named “Admin” in both these computer has the same password I suggest that you may check the premissions of the share folder. Ensure that your client has rights to access the folder. As a test, you can set the modify right for everyone, check if you can see these files. Also you may try to disable the Password Protection then check the issue again. Please refer: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-turn-off-login-password-protection-in-windows-7 Hope that helps Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
