Cannot save changes when modifying DNS suffixes for VPN connection
Hello, I have a problem trying to set up a VPN connection. I have a freshly installed Windows 7 partition. I have set up a connection to my work VPN. It connects and I can access my Exchange server but it won't resolve the home page for my work intranet. I have checked on another Win 7 laptop with a working connection and in the advanced tab on properties for the IPv4 and IPv6 there are entries under "append these suffixes (in order)" I add the same as what my other working connection shows but when I close it the changes are not made, it just defaults back to the checked box for "append primary and connection specific suffixes". MY account is an administrator and the options are not greyed out like a lot of people seem to have issues with. It just won't save my changes. Any ideas or other work arounds ? Thanks.

The DNS suffix for VPN connection is defined by the VPN server. You cannot change it. To get it work properly, you can add the DNS suffix into your local DNS suffix search list. You should do it via Group Policy. Configure the DNS Suffix Search List for a Disjoint NamespacePlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
