Cannot print to shared printer on another PC, while other PC is using Windows VPN client
In PC2's VPN connection settings, under the IPv4 protocol properties advanced configuration there's a checkbox that says
Use Default Gateway on Remote Network or something similar. Uncheck it.

2 PC's on our LAN
PC1 - Windows XP Pro, SP3
PC2 - Windows 7 Ult, USB printer plugged in directly and shared to the LAN
When PC2 is using its Windows VPN client to connect to a remote network, PC1 is unable to print to PC2's printer
When PC2 is NOT using its Windows VPN client, PC1 CAN print successfully to PC2's printer
Can someone explain how to overcome this situation and let PC1 print regardless of whether PC2 is using its VPN client ?
