Cannot print to a Lexmark 8350 connected to an XP PC on network
Hi. I have installed Windows7 on my main PC but have an XP Pro machine on the network that has a Lexmark 8350 Multifunction printer on it. From reading other posts I understand why I am getting the error 0x000003e3 but still can not seem to find a solution to it. The Lexmark site advises to use Vista driver but this assumes the printer is connected directly to W7 PC as they seem to only provide an application executable (the full suite 42MB) rather than just the print driver that I would need if I was to set the printer up as a "local" printer as per some of the other posts and of course when I get to the part of selecting the driver (from Windows Update or have disk) then the printer doesn't appear in the windows update list as there is no W7 driver. Any ideas welcome. Thanks Fraser

Hi, According to your description ,the issue is related to incompatible driver with Windows 7, please contact the Lexmark support for compatible driver. Which version of your Windows 7, if it’s Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise, there’s a workaround for you. You can install Windows XP Mode and use the network printer in XP Mode.
