Hi TonyRis, have you installed certain third party browser before the issue starts occuring? Let's first set IE as default browser: 1. Access the Default Programs from the Start menu or Control panel. 2. Click on the "Set program access and computer defaults". 3. Choose "Internet Explorer" option and select "Set this program as default".If the issue still occurs, please follow the steps below to reset IE: 1. Open Internet Explorer. 2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click the Reset button. 4. On the Programs tab, under Internet programs, click Set Programs, then "Set your Default Programs", select your e-mail program and click "Set this program as Default". Repeat for Internet Explorer. 5. Click OK and close the dialogs. You can also temporarily remove previous installed third party browser (if any exists) and that is the cause. Hope this helps!Sean Zhu - MSFT

I tried that as well, but I still cannot open links. It looks like Google Chrome (that I had removed) is the culprit as it leaves records in the registry. However, re-installing that hasn't changed anything. The only other thing I have done is to load Kaspersky IS 2011, but turning that off doesn't seem to do anything either. Copying and pasting the link works, so the pages are there. ANy other suggestions? Jimbob91

Dear Sean, Hi, I am also facing the same problem with my Outlook 7. I have Windows 7 Premium and using Microsoft office 2007, I cannot open web links in Outlook 2007. On each attempt to open any weblink through Outlook 7 I recieve a Error message saying: "Operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer, see administrator" I have already tried to reset Internet Explorer to defailt and also tried to reset all its settings, but the problem still persists.
