Cannot offer remote assistance from my WINDOWS 7 Professional workstation
I cannot offer remote assistance from my WIN 7 Pro machine. When I use the procedure of clicking PROGRAMS, MAINTENANCE, WINDOWS REMOTE ASSISTANCE, ADVANCED CONNECTION OPTION, then provide the computer name or IP address of the WINXP machine I want to connect to I get a message that "YOUR OFFER COULD NOT BE SENT:....." Also, the REMOTE ASSISTANCE tab in my WINDOWS 7 machine is checked but grayed out. Please advise. Thanks

Hi, I would like to verify if the computer is in domain. If so, it could be disabled by GPO. If not, please go to check Task Scheduler service. 1. Click Start, type Services.msc in Start Search bar, and then press Enter. 2. In the right pane, double-click Task Scheduler. 3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, click Apply, click Start, and then click OK. 4. Restart the computer to check the result. 5. If the issue persists, try to turn off windows firewall for testing. Best Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. The computer is part of our domain. QUESTION: What does "TASK SCHEDULER" have to do with offering remote assistance?
