Cannot mount network drive but can navigate to it in Windows Explorer
Windows 7 Ultimate ( http://screencast.com/t/hdZkfirf5JQz ) can type in \\192.168.1.107 (my iMac OS X 10.8) to Windows Explorer and connect with my iMac user's credentials ( http://screencast.com/t/KHprlRYtwA ) but when trying to mount that IP address as a network drive, it is inaccessible. http://screencast.com/t/aoTw217W & http://screencast.com/t/ulE2SGs78Q Screenshots from the Mac's setup: http://screencast.com/t/QAxinNyyoDpO - http://screencast.com/t/OKfBIRiD - http://screencast.com/t/ENLonHfmQfcW

Hi, According to the error code: 0x80070035, it means network path not found. I suggest to temporary disable firewall and antivirus program for test. Also try to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP: 1) Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections. 2) Right-Click on the connection and choose Properties. 3) Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 4 in the list. 4) Click Properties, and then click Advanced. 5) On the Advanced TCP/IP settings windows, go to WINS tab. 6) Under NetBIOS setting, click Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, and then click OK. Hey cliffordp bro. .i havve looked all screenshots and the ERROR CODE 0*80070035 This error Message Simply implies that your network path is being blocked , this could be simple as Enabling the file sharing in Services.msc in the Administrative tools... 1. You may need to allow this location to your third pary firewall if Installed , Or Add exception as trusted location in ur Windows Firewall 2. If No Third Party firewall is instaleld Disable the windows firewall ..that wil be usef ull for debugging, no try connect to access the share 3.Mount on the Different Drive Letter , I Have seen in the screenshot u r trying to mount on I Drive ...try in different letter like G, L, M,N e.t.c 4.Check the All DHCP Services, Computer Browser , TCP/IP Netbios Helper , Services is Started ..you can check that using Services.msc in Search Box pressing Startt Button 5.As Suggested by Leo Huangjun Try Enabling the ""NetBios Over TCP also Helps"" 6.Yo also need to actually share the resource in question from MY Computer>Right Click on Drive Or FOLDER>and Select Sharing 7. i Have seen Your Workgroup Name is "CPNETWORK" Make Sure its the same as in the Other Computer , Check Pining each other or Pathping 192.168.x.x To check in Which path the packet drops will be usefull for Troubleshooting.. NetBIOS setting is correct for normal network configurations, its possible for it to be altered, and it costs nothing to make sure its correct. NETBIOS over TCP/IP must be enabled for normal network browsing. Thanks, Suren Face the fact tat we all have plenty to learn about this field. Bro you cant mount a computer you can share only a folder, As UNC \\192.12.xx.xx\Blah Blah ...this is how will work , there is one more way if there are shared folders on multiple computers in a network u can use the DFS Rooots Published in a Server, For people connecting to server they think alll the shared folder on one computer that is server , But in truth each folders are shared from multiple computers thats is the advantage of Distributed file System(DFS) Kiss me i Will Take you to Explore about DFS Thanks, SurenFace the fact tat we all have plenty to learn about this field.
