Cannot login with laptop outstide of domain : There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request
Hello I have a laptop registered on an AD domain. When authentified to that domain, there is no problem. When disconnected from network, or if i try to login on a different network (like outside the enterprise office), i can't log at all to windows with the AD user, and the error message is : "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request" I found that this message is really weird, and it's the first time i have it at logon.Even more : it prevents me from login. Do you have an idea ? Loïc

Hi, To troubleshoot the issue, please try the following steps. 1. Temporarily remove all the security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on the Windows 7 machine and check if it works. 2. Regarding the error message received, please refer to the following Knowledge Base and try the solution in it: Error message when you try to log on to a Windows Server 2008-based RODC: "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949048 Hope this helps. I have resolved the problem Windows 7 wasn't allready activated. In that case, it seem's that the connexion cache don't work. once the serial number was entered, everything worked fine. Thanks you.
