Cannot log into AD. Possible endpoint mapper issue?
I have a Vista SP1 laptop that cannot log into AD. The user gets a message that the computer account is missing. The event logs report that . The account exists, and reseting the secure channel has no affect. to try and determine the issue, Ipulled anetsh dump, andfound an error fromthe WINS context.."Wins Operation failed with Error There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper."I know there is a way to "fix" endpoint mapper issues in Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP, but I cannot find anything for Vista. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

Hi, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please check the account status on the server side and ensure the account is exist and the status is normal. 2. Log on theproblematic computer with the local administrator account, ensure the computer can communicate with no issues with the server (such as using the ping command) and then disjoin and rejoin the computer to domain to check the issue. Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
