I was setting up my account on Windows XP so that my child could not get onto the computer. Something happened and the computer locked up before it was finished. When I shut the computer down then turned it back on it came up with the screen to log in but would not accept the password I entered. I am 100% sure that I was entering the correct password. Is there a way to get around this is re-set it???1 person needs an answerI do too

Start the computer in Safe mode and log into the built-in account named Administrator . You'll have to know the password, if any, for that account. Once in, go to Control Panel > User Accounts and change the password for your regular account.Boulder Computer MavenMicrosoft Most Valuable Professional
