Cannot install windows security update
Some clever you-know-what seems to have infected our computer so that if the word "w i n d o w s u p d a t e" (without the spaces) appears anywhere on a page or in any form I fill out or in the url or an attachment, I get the standard error message.. "windows cannot open the page." If I add the spaces, there's no error and I can immediatly get to a new page. I've been sending emails back and forth to the MS robot named Shawn and getting nowhere. Shawn wants me to attach a file named "w i n d o w s u p d a t e . l o g", but it won't send unless I change the name. But if I change the name, robot Shawn doesn't know what to do with it. Shawn just archived our conversation. Very frustrating. Can anyone help? By the way, we ran the malware program, found and deleted a few trojans, reinstalled/updated Trend Micro and a new scan found nothing else. Thanks.1 person needs an answerI do too

Thanks.Hi My name is Joel and I will be happy to assist you with this issue. Unfortunately, your problems will not be resolved by simply running a malware scanner and removing a few trojans. Once upon a time I would have been able to provide you with the assistance you need here on MS Answers. However, a certain moderator decided to create his/her own rule about posting log files. Therefore, I have created my own forum for dealing with issues such as yours where help is provided completely free of charge and log files are not only welcome but encouraged. The analyzing of log files by a trained tech can determine and resolve the issue much better than any other method. My only requirement is that you take a minute to create a user account. I do this to prevent spamming and drive-by posting by offensive posters. Your email and other information is never disclosed to anyone and I receive absolutely no compensation for the services whatsoever. Feel free to post your issue on the forum in the Virus/Malware section using the same username as here or providing me a short note reminding me of who you are. I will reply to you shortly thereafter The first link below is to the forum. The second link is to previous answers here on MS for reference.Free forum : Repair-Bots Onlinehttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xprepair/thread/16faea6f-cd8b-4f95-8a6c-23986951bbfc Regards,JoelFree computer support and diagnostics -->> http://repairbotsonline.forumotion.com/
