Cannot install a Lexmark X4850 printer.
The computer and printer have worked fine for months. Now the green light on the printer blinks but no attempt to print has worked. Where can I get a driver that will work? The computer is running Windows 7 and when I attached the printer everything ran fine for months. Now the printer won't run although the USB cable is attached properly and the printer is plugged in. The computer runs fine. Please help!

Unplug the printer from the computer. Then unplug the printer's power adapter. The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in the printer. That should refresh the printer. Just leave the printer disconnected from the computer for now. You will need to download and install the software first. But check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. For the software, click on this link: http://bit.ly/arNLm9 (for 32-bit) or this link: http://bit.ly/abQkwd (for 64-bit). Download and install the software. Just follow the instructions on the software. Hope this helps.

Hi, When did the issue begin to occur? Can you use the printer on other machines? First, I suggest you try Printmastertech’s suggestions to reinstall the printer driver for a test. If the issue persists, I suggest you open Devices and Printers and check whether the printer can be detected. If so, please print a test page to check the result. If there is any error message when printing the test page, please capture it and upload it to Skydrive (www.skydrive.live.com) and share the link to me. I am having the same issue and can provide additional detail about it, as I've been struggling with it for a while now. If I completely uninstall all the drivers and software and start from scratch using cjb4800en.exe, the software installs OK but gives a popup error message saying "The 4800 driver installation was not successful". The Lexmark software goes through it's configuration OK and it appears the printer should be ready for use. The green wireless light comes on and I can interrogate the printer via the IP address in a web browser. But when I try to print or scan, the Lexmark Productivity Studio just hangs and does not respond. Any help would be appreciated. Lexmark support gave up on this problem and said the printer probably won't work with Windows 7.
