Cannot install Windows Defender
Hello!... I am trying to install Windows Defender on my old IBM ThinkPad laptop... it runs Windows XP Home Edition... it gives me a message saying: "Microsoft Client Protection has been found. Please remove that product and rerun the setup."Could someone tell how to find it and remove it?... I have not been able to find this program in my computer to remove it... Thanks in advance!2 people need an answerI do too

stop or remove your virus program but dont forget to restart it.....

What antivirus program do you already have installed? It sounds like you may have Microsoft Live OneCare or Microsoft Security Essentials installed. Both of these programs will not permit you to install Windows Defender since they already have their own antispyware components.Microsoft Security MVP, 2004 - 2010
