Cannot install Java ActiveX
Running W7 Enterprise 64 bit, IE 8, I desperately need Java activeX for an interactive web turorial. The web is well-trusted and I have been using it for quite a long time on XP with no problem. The first pop-up is from IE 8. Then, under admin account, I went to Internet Option/advanced/: enabled all activeX-related options and unchecked all certificates verifying settings, dragged the UAC slider to "0" level, restarted w7 and IE8, answered "yes" in IE pop-up, proceeded into next and finally ended up with an Internet Explorer Security warning "Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher: name class/ Publisher: unknown". nothing can be done anymore after this. What was run here? IE or UAC to blame? I have Java6-upd17 installed without problem.Any suggestion is highly appreciated.Vince

Two things:Put the website in I.E. trusted zone and run I.E. in compatibility mode
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Hi, This issue also can occur if IE is configured to not let you install unverified software. Please also try the following steps. 1. Open internet explorer, click Tools – Internet Options . 2. Click the Security tab – Custom Level button. Under ActiveX ensure the following are set to enabled Run ActiveX and plug-ins – Enabled Download Signed ActiveX Control – Enabled Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting – Enabled Set the following to "Prompt" Download unsigned ActiveX Control – Prompt Initialize and script ActiveX controls not mark as safe – Prompt 3. Click OK and Apply and OK. Restart the browser. Then, please download and install the Java ActiveX again. Thanks, Novak
