Cannot find server! But it's different!
Ok, so I've recently just started having this problem. The computer won't connect to the internet. But the thing is that the computer is connected directly to the modem and I know that the modem is working (I'm using wireless from the modem right now). I've tried all different kinds of browser, and internet explorer is even confused. I tried to diagnose it and it says that it can't because an error has occured! I've run a virus, malware, and spyware scan on the computer and it also says that there isn't anything wrong! But anything that has to do with the internet doesn't work!! I'm running it off of xp sp 3. HELP!!!!4 people need an answerI do too

You might have to reset the modem or turn it off and on when moving it from one device to another.

I am having the same problem. I have tried turning the modem and router off / hitting the reset button and that has not helped the problem. I have another desktop plugged directly into the router and the internet is working fine on that computer. The local area connection icon in the system tray says that the computer is connected successfully but the internet browser won't load any pages.
