Cannot find any media files in Internet Explorer 8 Temp Internet folder
Hi all,I understand that IE8 will store cached file in TIF, but i could see all other file but not media files like mp3 or wma.any idea why ?

kohdesmond,Really, that's an Internet Explorer 8 question, and not a Windows 7 question. However...There are several reason why. Sometimes those files are in the 'Temp' directory, since the webpage calls another program to play them. Other times the websites are coded to delete those files as soon as they are not in use as a form of DRM.

dwolters,Thanks for replying my question, i do understand that but however i'm running dual boot with vista & win 7 runing the same webby IE8with the same song played and vista cache and save the song i played but win 7 does not that why i will ask here thanks

I do find *.swf file but not other file like *.wma,*.mp3

nope can't find anyit appear that the music file played in win 7 is streaming it instead of copying a file inside the temp or temp internet folder like vista or xp

how were you able to see media files using Vista and IE8. I cant see any media file. I have checked my settings and there is no auto delete, etc selected.

I just started using Win7 and also I notice a lack of temp files. Some are there, but nothing big enough like video or mp3s. Many cookies are also missing. Vista and XP always have at least 2,000 files after a half hour of browsing, but with Win7 there is never more than 600. I have been searching all sorts of folders and setting for an answer.
