Cannot download any file under Win 7 X64
I am trying to download Netlimiter V3 X64 Beta 2 on my Win 7 machine. When I click the "File Download - Security Warning" and press "Save", it shows that the file is downloading to my local drive. When it finished and I browse to that directory, the file isn't there. It has happened to me several of times with different kinds of SW.Do you know what might be the reason and how can I fix this problem?Tx,David

Hi, This is an issue that is mostly seen on computers who are running AVG as a virus scan... I don't know if this is the problem on your computer, but if you are running AVG, you might want to check the following out:http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files#Disable_virus_scanning_in_Firefox_preferences_-_WindowsOtherwise, I would suggest you lower your security settings: To change your Internet Explorer security settings 1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Internet Explorer. 2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options. 3. Click the Security tab. 4. Click the Internet icon. 5. Do one of the following: To pick a preset security level, move the slider. To change individual security settings, click Custom level. Change the settings as desired and click OK when you are done. To set Internet Explorer back to the default security level, click Default level. Click Reset all zones to default level to clear any custom settings. 6. When you are finished making changes to the security settings, click OK.Hopefully this helps...1 small question, if you click "run" instead of save, what happens?Kind regardsFilip Wilms

David - I had a quick search for the Netlimiter app on the web... There sure seem to be a LOT of pirate copies of said software. But I didn't find any legit site for NetLimiter itself. Do you have a link for where you're trying to get the file from?

Moving away from the windows downloading system to get some fresh air, there is a program I've been using which might be of use to you called free download manager whichI recomend andcould avoid the warning dialogue box if your firewall allows it to run. Log offor shut down. Log on or restart, the program resumes all downloads from wherethey left off never having to start over rendering the windows downloading system obsolete.
