Cannot delete files and folders
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium Want to delete folders and files from: Libraries / Pictures / Public Pictures / My Picture / 2012-01-21 / E Back Up / AOC Web Page / Hurr Katrina Movies Want to delete the following: 2012-01-21 / E Back Up / AOC Web Page / Hurr Katrina Movies 1. right click hurr katrina movies and click on properties. 2. Click security tab. 3. receive "To continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties. Do you want to continue? I select 'continue'. 4. Owner tab: Current owner 'unable to display current owner' Change owner to: I select myself as administrator and click apply. 5. Receive 'Unable to set new owner on 20120121_17. Access is denied. HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO DELETE ALL THE FILES MENTIONED ABOVE? Please be specific.

1. Right click Command Prompt in Accessories and use Run as Administrator 2. Navigate to c:\users\....\LibrariesPictures\Public Pictures\My Picture\2012-01-21\E Back Up\AOC\Web Page\Hurr Katrina Movies (Use backslash and no spaces except those that are in the original path. Remember that you should use "delimiters" when there is a space,eg. Instead Program Files zou would use "Program Files") 3. If you are in folder where you want to delete file(s), use "classical" command del or erase BTW you have landed in IT Professionals Forum. More appropriate is Answers Forum. Regards Milos
