Cannot create folders on SBS 2003 sever from Vista Laptop
HiWhen I access my SBS 2003 server from my VISTA Laptop I cannot rename folders even though I am an administrator. I can however create and delete folders. When I log on from an XP PC, everything works fine.Error message "The \\Server\October 2008 folder does not exist. The file may have been moved or deleted. Do you want to create it?October 2008Type: File FolderDate Modified: 2008/08/28 08:00 AMYes / No "If you click on YES the same message re-appears and if you click on NO, it creates a folder called NEW FOLDERHowever, from an XP PC I can rename the folder as well as create a new one with the correct name. I have gone as far as taking ownership of the main directory, but still no luck. Please helptksWim

Hi Wim, this issue should be related to user permission on the SBS 2003 server instead of which operation system you are using. As this forum focuses on Windows Vista specific issues, this inquiry would best be posted to Windows Server newsgroup: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.general http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the newsgroups regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
