Cannot copy more than a few small files to a mapped directory on my File Server
My System is a Windows 7 Pro, my File Server is XP Pro. This just started happening a few days ago. I have a software directory on my File Server mapped to my Windows 7 PC, I try to copy a 2.6 GB directory from my Windows 7 PC to the mapped Directory on my File Server and I get an error occurred with the Network connection to the Fileserver Software directory. Now I can read from the Fileserver directory with no problem. And if I copy small files from my Windows 7 PC to the Fileserver Software directory it works fine. But when I try to copy a larger file (500K or bigger) it fails with the same error message. As I say this was working fine until a few days ago. I have checked my Network, all of the share attributes and all is okay. I have another Windows 7 Home Premium PC that has the same directories mapped and have no problem on that PC.

Hi, Before going further, would you please let me know what is the exactly error message? Please go to update the firmware on your router and disable all Security or firewall on both computers. If the issue persists, open the CMD windows with Administrator privileges and type the following commands one by one: netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled Hope it helps.
