Cannot connect wirelessly
I just bought a new computer and cannot connect to internet wirelessly even though it shows a strong signal strength. I can connect to the internet from the router with a cable.

1. Have you used lastest wireless device driver? 2. What have you find in Event logs as a response to your attempts to connect wirelessly. 3. Have you tested wireless router by using another computer? 4. Would you describe in more detailes, how you configure wireless connection? Regards Milos

Is your wireless connection protected via WEP/WPA/WPA2? If so, you will need the passphrase. Make sure you are using WPA2. You can use WPA if necessary to support older devices, but you should avoid using WEP it at all possible.

Did you create a wireless network under ctrl panel> network & internet? If you did not, you would need to setup a wireless network under windows or alternatively setup using the wireless uitlityPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
