Cannot connect to network share because of multiple sessions - how to disconnect all sessions?
In Windows XP when I have the following error trying to access a share: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. I could use 'net use' from the command line to see the connections and delete them so I can reconnect. In Windows 7 RC build 7100 with this error, 'net use' shows that there are no connections. It seems to happen when I have multiple folders open to the same share and then close them all and try to open another share on the server or another ADMIN drive (such as c$ or d$). This error comes up and even prevents access to the previous share that was open. So short of rebooting, what can be done to remedy this error?

Hi, You may change the limitation of the connections for the shared components. Please follow the steps below. 1. Right-click on the shared components and choose Properties.2. Click the Sharing tab.3. Click on the button Advanced Sharing.4. In the box "Limit the number of simultaneous users to", type a number such as 99 or more. 5. Click OK to quit.Arthur Xie - MSFT

Arthur, Is there a way to fix this for a 2003 server share?
