Cannot connect to my network after Window 7 upgrade from Vista.
I was running Vista, and I recently upgraded to Windows 7. Now, I am unable to connect to my network I was already using. When I try to manually connect, I get the following message: "The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network." My roommate runs Windows 7, and he is on the network. We verified that we have the all the same settings. When he took down the password, and I was able to connect. After he put the password back on the network, I got the same message again. I have tried deleting the network and then manually adding it again, but this has not worked either.

On quite a few systems that were upgraded from Vista to Win 7 there were problems with drivers as some of the Vista drivers won't work properly on Win 7. You should refer to the Support website of the manufacturer of your laptop to determine if this might be the case. If you cannot find anything specific, make sure your system BIOS is updated to the latest; check to see if the drivers you have currently installed are in fact Windows 7 compatible; if not, uninstall the Vista driver(s) and install the most current Win 7 driver(s).

I installed the newest drivers from HP's website, but that did not work. I also deleted the duplicate networks and created a new one. I am only able to attempt putting in a password after I delete the network that I manually create.
