Cannot connect from XP network to Win 7 computer
I have an exsiting XP workgroup to which I am trying to connect a Win 7 computer. I have set the Win 7 computer to the same workgroup and it finds all of the computers and shares on the XP network. I have also set up several drives on the Win 7 computer for network sharing. When I go to one of the XP computers and search for the Win 7 computer, it finds the computer. However, when I click on the Win 7 computer name, I get a messsage that this computer is unavailable.

Hi, Please try the following steps to test this issue: 1. Try to access the share folder by “\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX<IP Address>” and see how it works. 2. Test the issue in Clean Boot. 3. Check if the other Windows XP computers can access it and if the Windows XP computers can connect with each other. 4. Please also verify the following services: Computer Browser Service Server TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper Workstation Network Store Interface Service Regards, Sabrina
