Cannot connect Outlook through VPN through ISA Server
I have the following setup:MS Exhcange 2007 on the internal network.ISA Server firewallMS Outlook 2007 on Windows 7I have access through the VPN - can file share, remote desktop etc. no problemWhen I try to connect Outlook to my account on the Exchange server from inside, no problemWhen I try to connect through the VPN, it appears to make a connection, but every time it tries to download mail it loses the connection, it then re-attaches and then tries to download email then loses connection - over and over. I can download Headers, but as soon as I mark an email for download, the client tries to download and loses connection.I cannot figure this out. I had it working flawlessly before I upgraded to Vista and then Windows 7 !!

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Do you use Cache mode for Outlook? If so, please try to change and use online mode. 2. Please ensure that your VPN has enough bandwidth. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT

I have turned off the "Cached mode" and made sure that my VPN had a good connection ... no go ... It keeps telling me that "Exchange is unavailable" but it is and I am able to get into my server with Remote Desktop and I can move files in and out ...It just cannot maintain a decent connection from Outlook to Exchange ...Thanks for the stab at it, but any more ideas? Thanks,Patrick
