Cannot add presentor
I have a user who is scheduling meetings on the Lync 2010 system by using the Outllook conferencing add-in in Outlook
2010. When she want to specific people within the organization to be presenters on the outlook ribbon, the following error message prompted "External attendees and distribution lists cannot be made presenters when scheduling the meeting. You can make
external attendees presenters once they join the meeting". I've tried the same account in other pc, same issue happened.
If I login with another user, I manage to
specific people within the organization to be presenters without any issue. Do anyone have any idea what is the root
of the issue. Thanks

Just to be clear, you are trying to add an external user or federated contact as a presenter? If so, this is not permitted. You will have to promote that user to a presenter after the conference has started or choose the option to make everyone
presenters in the Meeting Options when scheduling the meeting.

Hi,
If you choose People I choose option, external participants or distribution lists cannot be invited as presenters on the outlook ribbon. You can give presenter access to individuals when in the meeting room.
In addition, you can choose Everyone including people outside my company option so that you can make everyone presenters.

Thanks for helping, we actually would like to find out what will be causes that prevent the user to add the internal user presenter?
Why another user doesn't have such issue. Any setting, we can refer to?

The user should be able to pick an internal Lync enabled user as a presenter without issue. Are you sure the user isn't picking a contact from AD or Outlook instead of the actual Lync object? If the user searches the Exchange GAL (instead of
pulling from cached results) to add to the meeting invite and then try to enable that object as presenter does it work?

I too am having the same issue. Here are the steps I followed
1. Schedule a new Lync Meeting
2. Click To: search and select the names from the Exchange GAL
3. Click Meeting Options
4. Choose Presenters I choose
It does not seem to be selecting the Lync object. How do you propose to force selecting the Lync object?

I too had a similar issue. I had to add a sip: entry in proxyAddresses. Not sure why it wasn't populated when the user was enabled.
