Cannot access machines running Windows XP Pro on wireless network.
3 machines on wireless network. 1 running Windows 7; 2 running Windows XP Pro. Formerly I had full access in all directions. No problems. Now I cannot access the X Pro machines. Neither from the Windows 7 machine, nor either XP Pro machine from the other. I can see the XP machines in Windows Explorer with the full display of all the shared folders, but when I try to access a folder, I get an error message. "\\Tiger\Documents and Setting is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out of you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command." (This is the message I get on the Windows 7 machine when I try to access one of the XP machines. The message on an XP machine when I try to access the other XP is the same, except the final sentence is "The network path was not found." I CAN fully access the Windows 7 machine from either of the XP Pro machines. I checked the sharing properties on both XP machines, and they seem to be the same as when all was working properly. I've installed no new programs--except the regular Windows updates, and the frequent anti-virus update to Trend Micro. Any solution?1 person got this answerI do too

That error message is misleading. See the Microsoft Knowledge Base article Antivirus Software May Cause Event ID 2011 for a likely solution, specifying a value of 15 for IRPStackSize on the computer named Tiger.Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional

Thank you Steven Winograd. I wouldn't have know how to frame a search that would have led me to Article 177078, or that it would apply to my problem once I found it. I may be a technical novice but I CAN follow a cookbook recipe to change the IRPStackSize. Increasing the value from 15 to 18 resolved the problem without a further hiccup. Thanks again.
