Cannot access lync control panel/topogology/powershell: authorisation issue

Hi,

As of yesterday I can no longer sign into lync control panel (from the web portal or directly on the FE server).

If I open topology builder or powershell I lso get authorisation errors.

Checking event logs there are a number of errors with authorisation being the root cause.

I have checked svc accounts used by Lync and all seem Ok and not locked out.

I am still member of CSAdmins etc.

Envirnoment is Lync 2010 Standard that has been running fine for 2 years.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Did you upgrade Silverlight 4 to Silverlight 5?  This could cause the problem for Lync 2010 Control Panel.

Hi D Clayton MCP,

  1. Please check your network connections and user/computer accounts.
  2. Please verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
  3. Please check the SQL Browser service and all service connected with the Microsoft Lync Server 2010, make sure they are started.
  4. It may also cause by http://lyncserver.domain.com/cscp website is not in the computers Trusted Sites zone. Please add the site into the Trusted Sites zone at the bottom of the IE window.
  5. Please restart the SQL instances which hosting RTC and RTCLOCAL.

Best Regards,

Eason Huang
