Cannot access administrator priviledges
I read somewhere that it was not wise to operate solely with one admin account. So, I changed my user account from administrator to a standard account, thinking that I could log on to the default admin account. I typed in netplwiz, unchecked the box requiring passwords for user accounts, thinking i would not have to type in a password for anything and could jump from one account to the other. I logged out, logged back in, and I cant access certain areas because I am not administrator and I need a password. What? Obviously what I was thinking was not correct in the least. How is there a password when I never set one up? Is there a default password for the built-in admin account? What can I do to get my admin control back?

Hi, The built-in admin account would not be set password after the installation. But this account is disabled untill any administrator enable it manually. I’m just wondering if you have another admin account. You may use another admin account to add your current account into Administrators. If the there only administrator in Administrators group, and it is disabled. You may run Windows 7 with Safe Mode, built-in admin account will temporarily enable in Safe Mode.
