Cannot access Internet
I did an update from Vista 32 bit to Windows7 32 bit. Everything seems to work, but I cannot access the Internet. Neither IE or Firefox works, nor does updating Zonealarm directly.ipconfig reports my I Pv4 Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. I can ping my Internet service. Any ideas on what the problem might be and how to solve it?Thanks Stan

I am having the same problem.I can ping external addresses, but have had no luck with any browsers. Same scenario....update from Vista 32 to Win 7 7000. I disabled ZoneAlarm before doing the upgrade (completely disabled), and have flushed any of it's firewall settings, except to allow outgoing from my IP range.Brad

i was having the same problem not being able to access the internet. Come to find out it was my antivirus software that was preventing me from getting on. I just reenstalled and it fixed my antivirus software problem and I was able to get on the internet.

Define reinstalled? I completely disabled my anti-virus/firewall before installing. Do you mean a rip and replace install, or just running the upgrade again?

Thanks, Nate G. I uninstalled my ZoneAlarm firewall and antivirus and was able to get onto the Internet with no problems using both IE and Firefox. I was not able to reinstall Zonealarm. Apparently, a needed dll isn't where Zonealarm is looking. I downloaded and installed Kapersky antivirus and firewall and everything's working. I had downloaded Norton 360 and Internet access worked, but Norton gives only a 15 day evaluation. I didn't think that was long enough, so I uninstalled it.
