I have been computerized for 29 years and have used M/S from the beginning. I am using Windows XP and OFFICE XP PROFESSIONAL. I have always highlighted the items I wanted to CUT/COPY. I would either right click and choose or use the icons. I would then go to where I wanted the CUT/COPY to be placed and right click again and choose PASTE. The other method would be when I used the tool bar icons. I was able to CUT/COPY and PASTE in every program and in emails without a problem for years. What happens now is that when I use any method and I highlight the target passage, I can CUT/COPY the item. When I want to place the target passage, even in the same document, I use the usual PASTE click. What appears is a screen capture shot in the document but not the target message. The same thing happens when I want to CUT/COPY an item from a web page. Then I get a picture of the total screen picture of the web page when I hit PASTE. It is as though I was using SHIFT/PRTSCRN. There is a problem between the CUT/COPY Commands and the PASTE Command and the PRTSCRN. Is it possible for me to delete OFFICE and reinstall it? Where are the CUT/COPY and the PASTE Commands? Are they in WINDOWS or are they in OFFICE?
