Cannot Access Vista Machine On Network
I have Vista Home Edition on one machine and XP Home on the other, networked through a router. Both machines are aware of each-other. XP shows the Vista machine as part of the network. Both can be pinged by their respective machine names. From Vista I can browse the XP machine. However, when I try to access the Vista machine from the XP machine, a dialog pops up requesting 'Guest'enter a password. There is no option to log as any other user. Furthermore, the Guest account is not enabled on Vista.I have an account on each machine with the same name and the same password. What gives?
