Can you stream videos to the web like you can within homegroup?
Iv thoroughly enjoyed my streaming experience through the homegroup. Now i want to take that experience to the web. So my question is can I stream video to the web so that I can access it and stream it from anywhere? I was thinking maybe I can setup
my laptop so it acts as a "media extender" and use mce, but mce doesn't play a lot of files. Another Idea was to put my files up with ftp, but could I then stream from my ftp, as opposed to a simple transfer?
Any light shed on the topic would help me greatly. Thank you.If you cant be a good example be a terrible warning

Not really the forum for your question, but you would need a BIG FAT upload pipe to stream video; without the use of an encoder to cut down the bitrate
You CAN stream video using windows media encoder and you can access that video from anywhere as long you setup your router / firewall to allow this.
But you will be limited by the upload speed of your connection.
