Can you play a game on the Xbox 360 while recording with Windows Media Center through the Xbox extender?
Hi, I have recently set up a usb TV tuner connected to my PC which allows me to watch TV through Windows Media Center on the Xbox 360. 1. First question is - if my wife has set up scheduled recordings to record a certain show and I'm playing a game will the show still record, or does Media Center on the Xbox have to be open? 2. Second question is - Does Windows Media Center have to open on the PC to record a scheduled program, and on the correct channel or will is switch to the channel thats scheduled at the time the program starts? Thanks for your responses.

Hi, 1. If your hardware performance is sufficient enough to support the two activities and the network connection is strong, yes you can. 2. No need to open Windows Media Center. I was able to test, and yes while recording a TV show with Xbox 360's Media Center I was able to exit and play a game while the TV show continued to record. This was also able to be done while the Xbox was switched off after pressing record and could do all these things with a scheduled recording in place. I love Windows media center, it just works! :) Thanks for your link and response "Magon Liu"
