Can not set default network connection
Hi !Using Win7 64bit brought me to this problem, I assume there is some kind of problem with authorizations to write in the registry. After the setup of the PC the first problem was that the users acceptance of the user aggrement for the installted office package was not stored, after every restart of Word or Excel, the user was always asked again to accept the aggrement.I found the solution in changing the permissions for a certain registry key.I think I have the same problem with the default network connection, as it can not be written in the registry. But I can not find any information about it, which regsitry key this is, and how the permissions have to be set. So - who knows about this ???Thank you for your help in advance,Klaus

Hi,thank you for your support, but of course I tried to set the default connection via "Networkconnections" and also in the Internet Explorer - Connections. This was of course my first try, but none of both did set the default connection, thats why I am looking for the registry entry where this should be set.Still I am looking for the registry entry for the dafault network connection to put ohn the right permissions.Regards, Klaus

Hi Klaus, Thank you for your update. I have done some researches and found this should be related to the following keys: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\RAS AutoDial HKCU\Software\Microsoft\RAS AutoDial\Default In addition, I would like to share the following with you for your reference: Internet Explorer Maintenance Extension Tools and Settings Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
