The two computers are connected trough a Linksys Firewall Router. Initially I could open and copy files in both directions with no problems. For unexplained reasons, out of the blue my laptop can not open files on my desktop. My desktop computer can however open file on my laptop. My laptop can see the workgroup computers and the shared files but trying to open a file on the desktop produces a warning: \\computer name\file name is not accessible. You might not have permission to us this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. This makes no sense to me and several attempts to set up a new small home network produced the same results all over again. What can I do to salve this problem?1 person got this answerI do too
