Can not get IE8 32 bit to run under Windows 7 Pro
I have purchased Windows 7 Pro and when I now click on IE8 (32 bit) nothing happens. I can still run 64 bit without issue. However I have some things that require 32 bit. Can you please give me one or all of the following? 1) The link to get IE8 32 bit 2) Is there a setting I need to put into IE8 64 bit that I can copy the exe of IE8 64 bit to the 32 bit folder? Last, I did find and download what was indicated as 32 bit IE8 bit but when I start to run I get an error message that states "I CAN'T FIND SCRIPT ENGINE "JSCRIPT" FOR SCRIPT "C:\USER\JASONB~1\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\IXP001.TMP\TBQUIETINSTALL.JS". So now I am at a loss and I have to use Firefox to get 32 bit programs to run. Please Help. Thank You, Jason

As bizarre as it seems, there are badly-written driver packages which can prevent certain 32-bit applications from running. As a test, can you launch the 32-bit version of Windows Media Player? I had this issue and it turned out to be an audio driver package written by Asus - fortunately there was a workaround and finally a patch. If there's nothing obvious, try running Sysinternals Process Monitor to see what's happening when you launch IE: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx

Temporary disable antivirus. If it does not resolve the issue, follow the steps below to reset IE settings. 1. Click Start, please type “inetcpl.cpl” (without quotation marks) in the Start Search bar and press Enter to open the Internet options window. 2. Switch to the Advanced tab. 3. Click the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" button. 4. Click Reset to confirm the operation. 5. Click Close when the resetting process has finished. 6. Uncheck the "Enable third-party browser extensions" option in the Settings box. 7. Click Apply, click OK. If it still does not work, please let us know if it works in Safe Mode. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
