Can anyone upload classpnp.sys?
Now, I know this has been asked before, but can anyone upload this file for me to use on my broken pc? I am unable to find a working Windows 7 32 bit version of classpnp.sys . I know how to replace it using ubuntu, but I am unable to get access to the file. This PC I am using is 64-bit, so copying from it wont work. Thanks.

Do you have access to a 32-bit Windows 7 DVD or ISO file? If so, you could use a tool such as 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) to browse your <DVD drive>:\sources\boot.wim file and extract Classpnp.sys from the Windows\System32\drivers folder. Downloading system files from the Internet is risky and against the EULA.Microsoft MVP Windows Expert Consumer | http://www.wintecnico.com

Ah no, did not work. But it seems that more is at fault here. I am not about to turn this into another classpnp thread, so thanks for your help. I will probably just reinstall windows.

I already tried that. But I already found the windows DVD and reinstalled it. Thanks anyway. I don't suggest that you and other PC users who have the same problems to fix classpnp.sys error by reinstalling operating systems, though it works. If you and other PC users have this problem in the future, you can go to http://www.dllsuite.com/ to download their dllsuite to fix classpnp.sys error.

Fascinating application, but cannot be installed onto a machine sufferring with BSOD when you cannot open a command prompt or safe mode while in Windows (because the screen is still black). I have this issue on a Dell Inspiron. I get the visible curser, and nothing else (curser moves around nicely). But I cannot even be certain that anything else is working. When I try safemode with command prompt, I get nothing but the curser to move on a backscreen. As this is a dell, no Windows7 disc came with the system (just the recovery partition). When I took the hard drive out, put it in an external enclosure and scaned for malware/virus, I found nothing. I did get a few mis-allocated free space corrected, and I defragmented while I was at it. But The only menus I get are the BIOS menu (works fine), Diagnostic Menus (and all the tests work normally, and I can see everything), and the Boot options menu (safemode, with networking, with command prompt, normally). These I can see, but when trying to get into windows I get the long pause at the classpnp.sys file, then it loads into a black screen and I cannot tell if anything is running past that point.

I just had the same thing happen to my good old laptop last night and was wondering if/how you remedied the situation?
