Can anyone help me with this installation??

when i try to install windows 8 pro 64bit using VM VirtualBox i get the error 0xc000035a.

When I try to install windows 8 on Virtualbox (an application that runs virtual platforms (VM)) it give me this error:

64-Bit :

If you don't have this disk, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

File : \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe

Status : 0xc000035a

Info : this 64-bit application couldn't load because your PC doesn't have a 64-bit processor.

Well, I really have a 64-bit computer so that can't be the problem, I've burn the .ISO on a disk but there is no disk needed for Virtualbox you will be able to simply choose the .ISO file so than wont help either.

I thought let's try the 32-bit version of windows 8

32-bit :

I got Windows 8.1 Pro on my drive C. And I'm trying to install Windows 8 Pro on my drive D. Here is the screenshot taken from my Windows 8.1 64-bit OS.

Well i do have a 64-bit based CPU. Then why am i facing this problem while trying to install Windows 8 Pro?

In order to use a 64bit OS in VirtualBox you need 2 things:

1. A CPU that supports virtualization

2. To enable Hardware virtualization in VirtualBox.

Unfortunately, your CPU (E7300) does not support Intel VT-x. See the datasheet for your CPU here:

So how can i install 64bit os or 32 bit os???

Hi,

As Tripredacus said, your CPU doesn't support inter VT.

Meanwhile, I would like to share the following link with you:

https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html

I think we need to have a CPU that supports inter VT to install the windows 8 on virtual box.

Get CoreInfo from Sysinternals http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/cc835722.aspx and check if your CPU has the necessary features:

VMX           -    Supports Intel hardware-assisted virtualization
SVM           *    Supports AMD hardware-assisted virtualization

Windows 8.1 also needs certain CPU features:

NX            *    Supports no-execute page protection
SSE2          *    Supports Streaming SIMD Extensions 2
CX16          *    Supports CMPXCHG16B instruction
LAHF-SAHF     *    Supports LAHF/SAHF instructions in 64-bit mode

PREFETCHW     *    Supports PREFETCHW instruction

When creating the VM in Virtual Box you must select the correct version of the guest operating system (Windows 8.1 - 64 bit). The default is a 32 bit guest operating system, which will cause the above error message, even if HW virtualisation is enabled. You also need to enable the following options in Virtual Box:

IO-APIC, PAE/NX, VT-x/AMD-V, Nested Paging.

That was my mistake.

Thank you very much!
